If you're new here, you can take a peek.
If you've been here for awhile, you'll recognize some of these from your emails!
Ciao!
I am writing this email to you from high up in the sky, on my way home from my trip to Italy, and I couldn't wait to share my reflections with you.
This journey reminded me of a few powerful truths: life is short, the world is amazing, and there’s no place like home!
This morning I read a quote all about the choices we make in life. The author basically said that the only thing we “must” do is die…. Everything else is a choice. We may not like the choices we have, and we may not like the consequences, but everything is still a choice.
As a life coach, I constantly encourage others to find ways to be happy, and at the same time seize opportunities to step out of their comfort zones.
This trip allowed me to do both.
Italy, with its rich history, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant culture, served as the perfect backdrop for my personal exploration…
the pizza and gelato helped too :)
It reaffirmed to me that we are the creators and architects of our life… which can feel empowering and a little scary at the same time. It means that we are responsible for our own happiness, but it also means that we have no one else to blame.
One thing I learned during my time in Italy was the importance of living in the present moment.
Too often, we find ourselves caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, fixating on the past or worrying about the future. However, as I strolled through the charming streets of Rome, biked through the gorgeous countryside, and soaked in the beauty of Tuscany, I discovered the joy of fully immersing myself in the here and now.
I met incredible people along the way, fellow travelers with their own unique stories and perspectives. Engaging in conversations with them reminded me of the immense power of human connection. In a world that seems to be becoming more and more isolated, I was reminded of just how deep this need is. It's up to us to reach out, to forge new connections, and to create meaningful relationships that enhance our lives and the lives of those around us. (I definitely can do better in this area.)
Traveling alone also taught me the importance of self-reliance and self-discovery.
Without the familiar comforts of home or the safety net of companionship, I had to rely on my own instincts and resourcefulness. Truthfully it was fun (and a little selfish) to make decisions on my own, and revel in the sense of accomplishment that comes from navigating new places.
I want to challenge you, my dear friend, to reflect on your own life journey. Are there dreams or aspirations you've been putting on hold, waiting for the right moment? Do you find yourself expecting others to fulfill your needs instead of taking charge and cultivating the life you desire? Remember, you are the creator of your own destiny.
As a coach, it is my mission to guide and support you on your personal journey. If you're ready to discover your true potential, break free from self-imposed limitations, and embark on a path of empowerment, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can design a life that aligns with your desires and brings you lasting joy. (This one-day retreat on July 15th might be the perfect fit for you.)
Thank you for being a part of my journey and for allowing me to share my experiences with you.
It was a wonderful trip, but my most powerful realization was the simle beauty of “home”. Each night I would reflect on how deeply grateful I am for my husband, my kids, my family, my friends, and all the other blessings that enrich my life at home! So often we think that we need to go searching for happiness only to find that we had it all along (yes, I felt a little like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz :)
Lots of love,
